Not to be confused with marigold, calendula (calendula officinalis) is a magical flower used in traditions across the world. I use calendula a lot in my practice. She's definitely an ally for me, and a powerful one at that!
As a magical ingredient, calendula loves to give a boost to your intention or ritual - but note that it is a fiery boost, and has a lot of yang energy to it.
Calendula can be used in blessings, but as all fire and Sun associated beings, it wants action! Calendula is like your tiny supportive friend who is sweet, but always says she will fight people for you (and you think she's joking... until it happens...)
